2. Khajuraho Temple, Madhya Pradesh
The erotic carvings on the outside of the temple are suggestive of a sensual side to the artist, but the ones on the inner side are the exact opposite. These temples were more of an expression of artistic abilities rather than a religious sentiment. There are four major groups of temples in the area.
